CID's Ultimate Picnic began in 1993 and was an actual picnic celebration featuring picnic baskets in an outdoor setting at CID near Forest Park. In the years since, the event has become an annual festive gala featuring cocktails and fine dining, unique auctions, a performance by CID students and live entertainment. The event also features our Top Hat Scholarship auction, where guests have the opportunity to give all eligible students the opportunity to attend CID regardless their families' ability to pay. This event is our largest single fundraiser. In 2014, we are going in style for an Ultimate Birthday Bash in honor of CID's 100th anniversary helping children who are deaf and hard of hearing learn listening and spoken language so they can achieve to their full potential.
