A CID education requires expansive knowledge and a team effort. Most of our classroom educators have graduate degrees in deaf education and several hold degrees in related fields such as early intervention, special education and early childhood development. Our audiologists and speech-language pathologists are also highly-trained, with master’s and doctoral degrees.
Occupational therapists and other cross-disciplinary experts, professionals and volunteers from local universities and the community, and our school counselor round out the team. Of course, our most important partners in a child’s education are his parents. Enhancing their involvement is a top priority at CID.
