You Can Help a Deaf Child!

Central Institute for the Deaf (CID) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving deaf and hearing-impaired children and their families. We rely heavily on generous donors to support our world-renowned auditory-oral school where deaf children learn to listen, speak and succeed in mainstream social and educational settings. CID's school tuition rate is about half what it costs to provide a CID education, about $49,000 a year per 3- to 12-year-old child.  Most of our families receive significant tuition assistance.

CONTRIBUTIONS

CID welcomes secure online donations.

You may also make a credit card donation by phone to Denise Gibson at CID at 314.977.0163. Or make out a check payable to Central Institute for the Deaf and send it to the ATTN: Christy Maxfield, CID Development Coordinator, Central Institute for the Deaf, 4560 Clayton Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri 63110.

We are particularly grateful to CID Sponsors, who contribute $1,000 or more each year for current program support. For information about becoming a CID Sponsor, contact Christy Maxfield at cmaxfield@cid.edu 314.977.0225.

Legacy for the Future
CID gratefully accepts many kinds of gifts, including cash, securities and real estate as well as planned gifts in the form of bequests or other planned giving vehicles. If you're thinking about giving, ask your lawyer or financial advisor to help you identify planned giving opportunities that may provide tax deductions and other benefits for you and your family.

CID's Legacy for the Future program provides information designed to start you thinking about the possibilities and opportunities of gift planning to benefit deaf children and their families. Click here to learn more about planned giving opportunities.

Named Scholarship Funds
A minimum gift of $10,000 will create a CID scholarship endowment fund, typically named in honor of oneself, a loved one or an individual or group with special ties to Central Institute for the Deaf. We also welcome contributions of any amount to CID's existing named scholarship funds for the education of deaf children.

Tribute gifts of any size are also welcomed in honor or memory of a loved one. We appreciate your support.

CID's tuition rate is about half of what it actually costs to provide a CID education, about $49,000 a year per 3- to 12-year-old child.

Most families of CID school children receive significant tuition assistance and all benefit from the continued generosity of our many friends in the St. Louis community, across the country and around the world.

Thank you for your support!
