CID educational materials are designed specifically for teachers and clinicians to assess and intervene to improve deaf children's development of speech, language, listening and developmental skills. Most of these instruments are suitable for use with all children who are deaf or hard of hearing regardless of the educational approach.

CID SPICE: The Speech Perception Instructional Curriculum and Evaluation, a "must have" for teachers and audiologists involved in auditory-oral deaf education today, is used for developing auditory skills in children with cochlear implants and/or hearing aids. Use of this curriculum can start with children as young as 3 years old. The CID SPICE makes auditory learning easy and fun for both the teacher/clinician and the child. CID ESP: The Early Speech Perception test battery is a test of speech perception for children as young as 3 years old who are profoundly deaf. The ESP is typically used by audiologists and may be used to establish objectives and to measure effects of a hearing aid or a cochlear implant in terms of their impact on the child's speech perception ability. The kit includes a manual, response forms, a box of toys, full-color picture cards and a cd.

CID TAGS: The Teacher Assessment of Grammatical Structures rating forms assist teachers evaluating a deaf child's understanding and use of the grammatical structures of English. Separately sold CID TAGS forms are available for the Pre-Sentence level (TAGS-P), the Simple Sentence level (TAGS-S) and the Complex Sentence level (TAGS-C).

The CID Phonetic Inventory is a rating form on which the teacher can record the child's ability to produce speech sounds. THIS TEST KIT IS HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED, BUT WE CONTINUE TO SELL CID PHONETIC INVENTORY RATING FORMS. See also CID Speech Skills Worksheets above.
