You Can
Help a Deaf Child!
LEAVE A LEGACY CID is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving deaf and hard of hearing children and their families. We rely heavily on donors to support our world-renowned auditory-oral school where deaf children learn to listen, speak, read and succeed in mainstream educational and social settings. CID's school tuition rate is about half what it costs to provide a CID education, about $52,000 a year per 3- to 12-year-old child. Most of our families receive significant tuition assistance and their children would not be able to attend CID without the continual support of generous people and businesses in the community. CID graduates acquire the skills necessary to attend elementary, middle school and high schools with hearing children in their home school districts. Most go to college and many pursue professional careers. Meet some CID graduates.
You may also make a credit card donation by phone to Bree DeGraw at CID at 314.977.0163. Or write a check payable to Central Institute for the Deaf and send it to the ATTN: Christy Maxfield, director of development, Central Institute for the Deaf, 825 South Taylor Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri 63110. Download our printable form. We are particularly grateful
to CID Sponsors, who contribute $1,000 or more each year for current program
support. For information about becoming a CID Sponsor, contact Christy Maxfield
at cmaxfield@cid.edu

Legacy for the Future CID gratefully accepts many kinds of gifts, including cash, securities and real estate as well as planned gifts in the form of bequests or other planned giving vehicles. If you're thinking about giving, ask your lawyer or financial advisor to help you identify planned giving opportunities that may provide tax deductions and other benefits for you and your family.
